Living with Your Albums The Toddler Edition

Creating a scrapbook page is so much fun. I love the entire process: deciding on a photo or photos, choosing a story to share, looking through my supplies to find just the right paper and embellishments… I create layouts to share with my family. My girls are welcome to go into the library at any time and spread our albums out all over the floor. The album spines are another story. I'll admit it. I like my albums looking pretty.

    Enter Eden.

You may have seen photos of my albums. They looked like this until Eden started crawling and walking.

Once that happened her favorite thing to do was go into the library and pull the pictures off of every single album. It was sweet, really. She just wanted to hold the tiny pictures of the people she loved. BUT SHE WAS RUINING MY LABELS! Again, I tried to focus on the positive. Eden loved looking through the albums, but she could pull those labels off with lightening speed and my labels were beyond repair.

I came up with a fabulous idea. (Humble, yes?) Childproof labels. This is not to say that a toddler will never be able to get these bad boys out, toddlers are persistent, BUT it will take some work and if they do manage to slide the labels out, you can slide them right back in. No harm, no foul.
