April Fool’s!

I have never pulled any significant pranks on April Fool's Day. I think I might have made the bed funny one year (wild, I know) but this year I came up with a pretty funny prank, if I do say so myself. I sent them to some unsuspecting family members on Monday so they should be receiving them today. Hehehe. It really only takes about half an hour to make these (baking time included) so you may still have time to do this one yourself. I present to you, POOP!

 April Fools!

Obviously, what you are looking at isn't really poop, but it looks pretty good, doesn't it?! I used my favorite chocolate muffin recipe to make them. Here are the step by step instructions:

1. Combine one box of Devil's Food Cake mix and one can of pumpkin purée (15oz.) That is all. Ignore the instructions on the box.

Get a gallon size Ziploc bag. Put tape on the entire bottom corner of
the bag. This will reinforce the bag so that it doesn't split when you
are squeezing out the batter. (it's really thick.) You may even want to
do a couple layers of tape.

Snip the corner of the bag, making sure the hole isn't larger than
about a pencil (maybe just a touch bigger) when you squeeze the batter out, otherwise the
muffins will get too poofy and won't look like poop.

4. Squeeze the
batter into a greased muffin pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20
minutes. I bake mine for 18 and they turn out great.

I also found some other great ideas here and here on the Family Fun website. I think I am going to make "Grilled Cheese Sandwiches" tonight. Hehehe. What a fun day!!!
